Is it normal to vote republican because i feel bad for them?

I'm a die hard democrat/liberal. I completely disagree with Republicans and everything they stand for. I would never want a Republican to win an election, BUT I have always voted Republican. I figure even thought they're bad they deserve a sympathy vote. I mean, one vote doesn't make that much of a difference right?

    The Republican Party gets plenty of votes, you don’t need to give them a pity vote. They get millions of votes, they have more than enough. I just don’t understand where you’re going with this honestly. I’d kind of understand if this was a small fringe third party you’re talking about, but the Republican Party?
