I know learning is something reserved only for the rich but it seems kind of sad there is no value in it. I know you are suppose to only go to college for a job but would we not have a better world if more people were simply educated? People shell out 1000s trying to go to college.
Where do you get that bullshit from? One need not go to college to learn, especially in this age of internet information.
Anyway, most people shell out 1000s trying to go to college for the partying. They don't give a crap about an education.
Most people go to college for a piece of paper called a diploma. Good for you on setting your sights higher.
A college education is a springboard into a pool of opportunity, experiences and knowledge. It's well worth the money. Congratulations on having some sense to want an education, rather than alcohol poisoning and AIDS like most of the trash polluting our institutions of higher education.
Who says college is only to get a job? I went for the overall experience and opportunity. And I didn't party, much. I went for the education. And I still read to educate myself on a variety of subjects. I do it because I enjoy being well informed and self-reliant.
That doesn't really address the question. College can cost a lot of money, but so do houses, and you don't get a house to get a job. It is considered an investment. Not just a means to an end. That is no way to look at life. Educate yourself because you enjoy it. And doing something you enjoy is far better than working hard just for the sake of working.
