Is it normal to watch films and mime a character, pretending i am that person?

When I watch films, especially those that I love, I mime a character (usually one who is the lover of one who I'm attracted to) and act like I am them. I do this all the time when I'm alone and watch a film. When I have company I feel the great urge to pretend I'm the character. Is it normal?

Me too, specially when I watch "Ace Ventura". I just pick up characters or something

Sometimes after I watch a movie, I feel like I *am* my favorite character for awhile afterwards. I feel like I understand their mindset and I say things that they would say. It's kind of almost like being "haunted by their spirit" or something. :)

Try it then. My friends and I will mimic old disney movie scenes when we watch them together. It's fun and nostalgic.

Why not do so if you're bored of yourself?

There is a scene from Troy where Brad Pitt (Achilles) is holding Briseas in his arms in bed. Often times at night I position myself as if I'm Briseas and my comforter is Brad. I won't do it with my boyfriend bc at the time the movie came out I was single and started doing it with my comforter and kept it that way ever since.
