Is it normal to watch kids' shows?

I'm a married woman in my mid 30s with no children, and I'm a Critical Care nurse. Sometimes if I'm feeling really bad, or if I've had a particularly bad day at work (which usually involves a patient dying, having to deliver a terminal diagnosis, etc.), I like to turn on something like PBS or Sprout when I get home, and just watch innocent little kid shows for a while. I find the colors, music and simple story lines very soothing. Anyone else? IIN?

Same here...married, childless, stressful job in a medical setting....kids shows are a good escape now and then. I like to lose myself in a world where everything is sunshine and rainbows for a little while. :)

Last year, my dog died, Becky. I loved her so much, and I even skipped a couple of lectures in my favorite class to go back home. I found myself unable to maintain conversation with people, I was so depressed (Becky was the only thing constant ever in my life). Tom and Jerry was on, and I found myself watching it. I think childish shows are filled with so much joyfulness and filled with so much nostalgia, it really helps in tough times.
