Is it normal to work at mcdonald's because you're bored with life?

I already have a normal job, but my weekends are boring and I thought it might be interesting to do something different. I don't want to volunteer somewhere because I don't want to be around other lonely depressed people.

I don't think all volunteers are lonely and depressed. People volunteer for many reasons. If you want to work at McDonalds though it's your life right?

Isn't the reverse more likely the case? You are bored because you work at McDonalds.

Lot of people have part time jobs that are fairly meaningless other than a little extra income and a distraction from boredom. Several years ago, my older sister was a teacher, full time salary, but also worked part time at a friend's pizza place and bar as he needed her. It got her out of the house, some walking around cash, and let her squeeze into the tight, revealing uniform to show off her marvelous body. She called tips from guys who stared at her boobs "Titty tips", and did quite well.

Volunteer work has some of the most vibrant people I've met. Wouldn't you rather be making a difference somewhere than helping some big corporation make more ca$h?

Yeah, every choice other than working at an oil change shop is a good choice.
