Is it normal vastly different male vs female body image for attraction?

just talking about the ideal sexy physique (that the opposite gender finds attractive) for both males and females...

for guys to look good, they usually have to go to the gym, do cardio, lift weights, be toned and muscular, watch their diet, put in a ton of hard work in order to get those abs, biceps, six pack, whatever...

all girls have to do is _not_eat_like_a_pig.

pretty unfair no?

What? That makes no sense. Not all people are atteracted to the same type of people. Personally, I do not want a man that spends so much time working on his physique. And not eating like a pig is kind of insulting, not to mention irresponsible. That type of thought process leads to eating disorders.

Not really for women over 18. A large number of them have bodies that naturally put on weight even with the same diet. And the weight goes on where alot of guys don't find it attractive - their waist and butt. So, it can be much harder for them, than men, to stay trim.

    That's evolution for you.

A women had to be sure a man can provide for their family via hunting and what not. Hence, the attraction to a body that would provide for a woman.

A woman has to be able to bear healthy children. Because a woman needs to be above certain body fat ratio to bear children, woman tend to have softer features Like: nice breasts, butts, tummies and what not.

It is not quite a social convention, but rather a biological one

I don't like guys who have muscles... and I don't like skinny girls either. I think attractiveness is highly subjective, isn't it?
