Is it normal why are customers so crazy at christmas

one lady was at the mall like 3 hours. She bought a bunch of stuff in our store.She asked to use the payphone in customer service three times because her cell was not working and her husband is a little forgetful. Our store is by the main exit to the mall. she waited by the exit for her husband to pick her up for 45 minutes.
That seems very suspicious to me.our manager made us ask her what was wrong every 10 minutes.I also think she might has threw up in the grass while she was waiting.Customer got cagey when my coworker said we were asking because she seemed a little off.

Then their was another guy who was supposedly waiting for his wife , that came from the bar and steakhouse restaurant next to our store ,he seemed very tipsy. he was waiting for his wife to get done shopping. we kept asking him what he was doing and he was like what I need a permit to wait here.he proceeded to get very ignorant that we kept watching him.

Then their was lettuce guy.the freeloader takes a lot ketchups and margarine and coffee creamers Every time he shops.someone supposedly told him he could have the ripped lettuce we can't sell that we throw out because we have lettuce rippers.someone keeps ripping up our lettuce and buying like one piece. The managers are trying to find out who it is because whoever does gets 45 cents more an hour.we interrogated lettuce guy and he looked freaked out ,ran away and used the self checkout.
