Is it normal work on something that is against your beliefs?

For my job I am required to create propaganda for the organization I work for. When I was hired, the organization had not become politicized and was focused on neutral/scientific objectives. I'm not sure how I feel about working on this project.

Yes I worked in sales about a decade ago and I'd talk to an old lady and she'd tell me shes on a fixed income and doesnt have money id say ok thanks anyway. Then the boss would be like "why didnt you pitch to her!?" I said "she's broke" he said "how do you know if shes lying!?" I said "how do you know if she isnt?" 😂

I didnt have the heart to do it. I use to get good sales tho but it didnt feel right.

If you don't have a family to support; leave the job. Regardless of political spectrum, there's very little reason to betray your morals if you don't NEED to.

Unfortunately, it's not that simple if you have a family to support. Your first priority should be them and getting the money needed to financially support them.

Sadly, it's normal. It's modern-day hooking. You gotta do what you gotta do.
