Iipossiblyn for a dog...

For a dog to have an undeveloped eye (in the sense that the inner surface eye lid is covering it) can grow to be normal?

My deal is, I have a 8wk puppy and either I should leave it be or see if I can take her in for it to get it fixed... What should I do
?

Take in for surgery 63
Wait it out 12

At 8 weeks, the eye should be fully developed, but instead of going for surgery right away, take the puppy to a vet to get it looked at first.

If you haven't already done so puppy needs an initial vet visit anyway for check-up, rabies vaccine, flea prevention, heartworm and possible deworming.

Go see a vet. It could be harming the puppies vision.

Take the puppy to the pound and get a puppy that's fully developed. You will go bankrupt paying to try to "fix" the one you've got now.

That's horrible, it's an animal not a table or something.

To the OP: hopefully you've had him to a vet by now and they know what's wrong and what they need to do.

It would be selfish to keep an unhealthy animal alive simply because you'd feel bad if it were to be euthanized. The reality is that we're overflowing with many perfectly healthy dogs and cats that need a home, so often paying for surgery on animals like this is just not logical, especially if the surgery is expensive or difficult and if complications develop.

At least take it to the vet to be checked out... Go from there

When in doubt have the vet check it out.

Silly rhymes aside, if you are worried about it go and see the vet. It may be nothing, but then it might be a problem. If it is a problem you may catch it early enough to do something about it before it is too late.

    Toss it off a bridge.

Or take it to a vet. Either way, I guess.
