So, I'm getting nasal surgery done soon. I had my nose broken when I was 6 and I never got it fixed. It's been 22 years of living this way. I cant breathe through my nose and its constantly dripping and causing headaches.
I'm finally getting it fixed, internally and externally. Does anyone have any advice or previous experience to share,?

If possible, sleep sitting as upright as you can. I broke my nose and was told to do that after the surgery to avoid the risk of popping it out of position and having it heal kinda screwy
Old way of doing it was to pack it after surgery and then remove packing a few days later. I had mine done new style no packing either way depending on your sinuses you're going to have throat drainage and swallow some blood. I prefer to breathe through my nose not mouth. So I feel I had a much better experience than others I know that had packing.
