Imagine if you had no running water, toilet, social welfare, hospitals, transport, shops, schools...imagine living your life in poverty and being persecuted for helping others..and imagine being totally cool about it the whole time....

I would celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ if I knew when it was, but I know it wasn't Dec 25 th. The pagan God Tammuz was born on that date.
In 1953 when I came to Canada from England, we moved to a farm 35 miles from the closest city. We had no phone, hydro, running water, public transit, shops, welfare, hospital was in the city, toilette was a hole in ground outside. Poor people have always been prosecuted. Jesus would have felt right at home at my house.
Those were the best years of my life.
Gag! What a bunch of bullshit. Something like half the world lives like that or in even worse conditions, yet you probably don't even think to donate a few pennies to them.
Why not celebrate the birthdays of the living instead of some guy who may or may not have existed some 2000 years ago?
