Imagining things on long car journeys.

As a child I often got taken on long car journeys, and it would just be me in the back seat, no one to talk to. I got travel sick easily so I couldn't read books or anything.

I used to look out of the windows and imagine a cartoon character jumping over all the trees I could see, imagining the big jumps and little jumps, and skateboarding along the barriers that were sometimes in the middle or along the side of the road.
I also used to play a game I made up where if I saw a bridge up ahead I would close my eyes and try to guess when we had driven under it, and if I opened my eyes too soon I had failed.

Everyone I've mentioned this to doesn't seem to have any idea what I'm talking about and thinks it's weird, but I found out that one of my cousins who I didn't meet until I was older did all of the exact same things.

Has anyone else done anything like this?

    Other people do that?? I do it practically everytime I'm in the car longer than 10 minutes. I'm not sure if its normal but I do it all the time(:

    Lol, that's called getting over your boredom. I did it when I was little and I still do it today. The other people just don't have a very active imagination like we do XD

    Yeah I did this as a kid, it was Sonic the Hedgehog for me.

    I know several other people who did the same :)

    When I was a kid we took many LONG drives cross the country. I get car sick too. I passed the time sleeping, counting cows, telephone poles, etc...
    I also used to close my eyes like you and wonder if I passed something up ahead I saw. Wow!! Atlast someone who does that also!! :-)
