Increase stamina for sports

hi all, i wanted to know what type of food should i consume to increase my stamina for sports. i could run for few distance and can swim for 2 laps only. i know the thing gaining stamina is not one day game, but you could suggest me some food to avoide or consume, some sports medicine, etc.

    Pair good carbs with healthy fat. Carbs break down more slowly in the presence of fat. Think oatmeal with cream or buttery toast. Eggs are good too.

    Protein rich food. And always push your body to limits. Like for today 10 laps then 15, set your goals. It would ache yes, thats normal, but it will always get better the next time you try.

    Increasing stamina in sports usually means you need to run a longer distance. Start out slow and make sure you stretch before and after your run. In first week just run two miles. In second week you can begin to vary your training, remember to time your runs. If you were a runner in the past then you should be able to run four to five days a week and be alright. As you get more weeks under your belt, keep increasing your miles. The last run in the week, try to increase your pace and finish in record time. Add more Protein rich food in your diet.

    If you do hard exercise take the next day off for your muscles to repair and grow. Get a good night sleep too!!
