Inflamed pharanx wont let me eat

Im hungry but I cant eat. The doctor said its really inflamed but pain killers dont bring down the swelling. Its becoming more swollen and I only had this for two days and now I cant eat. I can eat bananas but nothing else. I guess since bananas basically turn to moosh when you eat them. What do I do about food? Do I just not eat for ten days? Since that how long I have to take the medication to get rid of it and I can not eat since its so swollen. I got prescription for meds and need pick it up in 50 minutes. I cant even swallow water.

Eat only bananas for 10 days 4

    Make shakes, or buy some liquid breakfasts. That's what I had to do one year when I had tonsillitis. Make sure you eat (:

    Soups, smoothies, juices, mushed up carrots, mushed up fruits and veggies in general! You need to eat something! It takes more energy to heal, and by not eating (aka getting energy) you'll only take longer to get better!
