Inn i can't look at piercings and earrings

I just can't look at them.It makes me feel bad for some unknown reason.
I think about that wound and the procedure to make them.
When someone have them i try to not get close cause i'll stare at it and that make me nervous.Even nauseous sometimes.
I never get the need of people deliberately to mutilate themselves.
Does these people have attention issues and want to be seen that badly?

    Putting a metal rod through your body for the sake of decoration does sound a little fucked up when you say it out loud.

      My girl has a rod through the top of her ear from front to back and other smaller ear piercings as well as a belly button ring and tiny nose ring. I find it all sexy as hell yet think giant gaping holes in the earlobe are appalling. Personal opinions.

    Its not for attention its for them. They want to do this its how they choose to express themselves.

      Is that so?Some kind of narcissism then?
      But something don't sounds right.If they want look good for themselves it's cause they want to impress people.
      They want to look special and not ordinary and get people's attention i guess.

        No not that at all. Like I said its not for other people its for themselves. Like with clothes everyone express's themselves differently in how they dress. Not to impress people or stand out.

          But would these people who likes piercings or tattoos where in a desert island for the rest of their lives still want them?
          I think it wouldn't make difference about your looks if you can't show it to other people.

            Looks aren't just about showing it off to other people. Is everything you do just for other people to look at you how you dress or eat all for other people. As I said before its for them

    It doesn't feel as bad as it looks, and perhaps they simply think it looks cool. I'd say you're just overly sensitive to it, but that's my opinion.

    Pierced ears I can look at, the normal single ones for ear rings. But most other piercings look like warts growing on your body.

    It's normal to be creeped out I guess, but please keep in mind people do it because THEY want to. It's just a personal style preference like hair styles, makeup, and fashion.
