My ocd is at its peak, occasional daily dark thoughts, unemployed, trying to find jobs, living in constant fears of several things which I never felt before.
I want to know whether 2020 is the worst year of other IINers' lives to validate that at least I am not alone struggling through this very year. Or you guys are partying the hell out of your awesome lives in this year instead.

Well I feel kinda bad saying it now lmao
But 2020 has been so far my best year.
Got engaged, landed a new career, trying for a baby, my relationship with my community is at an all time high.
I got the shits really bad if that makes you feel any better.

It started out bad, my dog has tumor in her throat, she is struggling for breath.
Great!! I haven't had to work or do anything and have basically lazied around. Married life is great!
It's not my worst, but it's not my best either. I have a family member struggling with stage 4 cancer and all we can do at this point is stay positive and hope for the best through continued treatment. I also lost another more distant family member a few days ago very unexpectedly. I had a friend completely ghost me for no reason I could think of either (why people tell you they have a lot of fun with you and can't wait to hang out, and then all of a sudden cut all ties is beyond me).
I'm at a confusing point in my life and trying to figure things out.
My worst years have probably been 2012, 2016, and 2019. I experienced a very tragic and unexpected loss in 2012, several losses in 2016 and a bunch of bullshit change (as well as meet one of the most psycho people I've ever known), and there were 3 cancer diagnoses in my family after decades of no cancer or terminal illness in 2019. Luckily two have fully recovered and the last is the one still fighting. I also dealt with being fucked over by several people in 2019 and it was overall a miserable year.
I think my best year in a long time was 2017. I felt relaxed, carefree, and happy for the first time in a long time, but of course that was very short lived.

Cancer is one of my biggest fear so I can't imagine how scary it is to those who are actually suffering from it. I hope your family member is doing the best fighting cancer.
Also, don't feel bad about yourself regarding those 'friend' and people who took you for granted, abandoning you for no reason. It shows how much of assholes they're hence it's a waste of your time making friends with those type of people. Hope you find true, better friends who genuinely support you both physically and mentally.

I would say that it feels no different then all the years before. my birthday is next month so I guess that's something.

Fun fact about me I'm not a cat person(love kittens though)but my maternal great grand mother loved cats, she and I share the same birthday. I really miss her but I feel lucky that I and her came into the world on the same day. Most family members didn't say it much but a lot of them thought I was special for being born on the same day as her. Hard to explain it and I'm not over inflating my ego but some have said as much and for many years.
So far overall it's been sub par but I have multiple reasons to be optimistic. Including just turning 21 :)
It's been mostly good. Today was pretty shit though. Bit emotionally dead right now.

2020 is gonna hopefully replace 2016 as my favorite year. Strong economy, strong new trade deals, trump will probably be elected again, and last but not least the absolute buffoonery the left has made themselves into is growing more and more insane.
The economy is wonderful right now. If you were unemployed in 2009 you'd know that it was 100 times harder finding a job.
So far 2020 has been good for me. I'm still trying to replace my second job with something better, but other than that I've got a roof over my head, a lovely boyfriend, delicious food, and a great life.
Mines going great. Got a new great job. Visited the range today and had a good time. I have no complaints outside of my coworker

We just percieve it that way.
Its early to tell how this year gos.
But Ill make the best of it.

Fuck off. You don't know how much I mentally suffered from suffering it. I almost thought about considering suicide yesterday because of uncontrollable whispers and evil thoughts lingering in my mind, you insensitive, insufferable scumbag. I was trying my best to suppress my OCD and suicide thoughts or else, I would've been a goner yesterday for killing myself. I suggest you stay away from being a psychologist or a motivational speaker because you're going to kill more mentally disturbed people than saving them.
