Ah philosophy. Not as difficult to work through as one might think though.
You see the 10% left are rendered evil after the act, and thus, are a pointless existence. With no more good people left in the world they may as well all have died at the same time.
In short, no good can be achieved as a result when no good is left.
Permitting someone to do evil in order that a good consequence (which you know will come of it) will actually come of it?
Maybe if you're God.
