Is blushing a real thing?

have you seen anyone blushing, or can you?,
i never seen anyone blushing in real life,
I've seen it on cartoons,animes,etc.
and if blushing is real, without makeups,
what is the reason for it, is it like on these shows like [awkward talking to crush, cheeks turn red, etc].
or is it some kind of a health problem?

I'm sure it's much more difficult to see a blush if the person is wearing a layer of makeup, but it's a perfectly normal physiological response to various stimuli.

If you've ever been in a situation which you found very embarrassing or one where you were absolutely furious about something and you felt a tingling or hot sensation on the skin of your face, you were blushing. Whether anyone could see it largely depends on your skin tone. Blushing is much more obvious in fair-skinned people, but even those with black skin can and do blush; it's just that the increased blood-flow under the surface of pigmented skin is difficult or impossible to see.

Blushing is one part of the flight-or-fight response of the sympathetic nervous system in a stressful situation: the blood vessels dilate which increases the flow of blood just under the surface of the skin (this is probably an evolutionary adaptation which means that any wounds will immediately bleed, thus reducing the chance of infection). This increased blood flow happens everywhere during the fight-or-flight response, but it's most noticeable on the face. Other things like alcohol, spicy foods, fever and exercise can also make the face flush due to increased blood supply, but proper blushing is triggered by something psychological.

Yes it's real it's to show being sincere. Most often it's when your embarrassed. You cant control it, reinforcing the sincerity.

Uh YEAH? How is this even a question.

Blushing is a serious health problem. It can be fatal. 4.3 million people have ended up in the ICU after blushing.

    Seek help immediately!

My face goes red when I'm blushing. Wouldn't say it's restricted to my cheek/nose area like in anime but my cheeks do get flushed. It's not a health problem XD

    Yeah it’s real
I have a bit of rosacea though that makes my chest, neck, and face, burn up.
But it’s amplified if I get embarrassed or angry or drunk

I actually had a physiology professor who made a study of it and found that some people blush down to their upper chest. He said that he enjoyed having the girls volunteer to wear low cut blouses for the study. Hah.e
