The town I come from, it was really boring growing up here. Culturally poor, over-regulated and really isolated. So I definitely relate, idle hands are the devils plaything. Still, I would urge you not to let boredom lead to self destruction. Mix your life up a bit. Set goals. Then make a list of smaller tasks you can set to achieve those goals. Keep an eye on your destination, stay driven. Talk to friends often. Go for long drives. Take up a creative pass time. Enjoy the beautiful quiet and visit nature often. Cultivate your inner child, keep a sense of wonder, awe and mystery.

Get a hobby. Sleep at night. If you want to have an excuse to use subtstances you dont, some people are weak for that shit and will end up users eventually. Either thats you or you lack so much personality you think it would make you edgy and cool.
