Recently my friend and I were walking somewhere and we brought up this conversation on Star Wars. I told him I don't watch it or remember watching it and I don't like it that very much (I don't mind if people like it or not). Then he starts freaking out and goes crazy about it and says that everyone likes it, and those who don't like it are 'stupid'. Basically he's saying that if the majority of people do/enjoy doing something, then the 'minority' of people have to be like that as well. It's not like I'm bashing the show (and films), I just don't like science fiction or the genre that very much.

I told him that he should accept other people's likes and dislikes, and he said that he doesn't know anyone who doesn't enjoy the show. (later he said he was just exaggerating; he meant that the majority of people enjoy watching Star Wars)
So is he right about this?

    Your friend is incorrect.
    I do like some Science Fiction, but I didn't care for Star Wars at all. It has very little to do with actual science and has more to do with 'soap operas'.
    Please send your friend over to IIN, and I will test him on who's smarter in the real Universe.

    Not EVERYONE in the whole world has to like Star Wars.

    For example, I like My Little Pony,
    but I don't go crazy if someone dislikes it.
    As long as they're mature and respectful about it.

    Quite a few people like it. I tried to watching again considering the really incredible story going on behind the scenes, about Annakin (Darth Vader) about being the one to balance the force, the first Sith to be overcome by good, but then I watched the movies and still wasn't crazy about it. They're decent flicks, and a really interesting story and everything but I think there are greater classics.
