Is it common to have a twitch in your neck muscle?

One day when I was about 10, I got sick and my neck muscles were very sore. Throughout the day, I would stretch my neck muscles (not sure which one exactly) to see if they still hurt. After I wasn't sick anymore (about 2 days) I couldn't stop. After a while it slowly fades away, but it comes back every so often and it's very annoying. I'm not sure what neck muscle it is exactly, but it's the same one that becomes visible when some people yell angrily. Is this a common thing, and is there some sort of remedy?

Yes, muscle twitches are fairly common, and they do tend to occur in the same muscle over time.

They might spring up more often when you are short of electrolytes, which often is a shortage of potassium (unless you eat a lot of bananas or a lot of potatoes).

In the USA there is a product called "lite salt" developed for people who wanted to be on a lower sodium diet. Its half sodium chloride (normal salt) and potassium chloride.

It also works really well for people who have muscle cramps and twitches - as it provides potassium.

Start using it and see if the issue goes away after a while.

At least, muscle twitches are not serious...

Ce n'est pas normal mais c'est courant. Ce sont des tensions. Il faut voir un médecin pour vous masser ou vous débloquer.

As everybody here speaks English it’s pretty fucking stupid/pointless to be using this site if you don’t.

      Speak English.

Parler anglais Je ne sais pas le faire. J'ai peur que si je passe par Google traduction et que je colle mon texte ici ce soit incompréhensible.
        Je vais essayer.
