Is it inappropriate if someone randomly brought up someone's past trauma?

Let's say you have a friend but then the other friend brings up their past trauma ( ie sexual assault, rape, domestic abuse and etc. ) and they felt uncomfortable about it, but my real question is....

Would it be considered inappropriate?

    Definitely, IMO. I don't believe anyone should ever bring up or discuss someone's past traumatic experiences aside from the "Victim"/individual themselves.

    To other people or to the victim?

    Thats one of those things that I take to my grave I would never pass that info to anyone even my wife.

    Hell no!! None of their business unless the person talk about it first for advice or comfort but no!! If I was there I kick there freaking ass unless it a women then I yell at her. Just saying
