Is it me, or is being sleep deprived like being drunk?
I didn't sleep last night because of insomnia. I've been awake for approximately 35 hours by this point, and oh my fucking god, it feels like I'm drunk.

I remember the first time I didn't get enough sleep and I was taking a test and writing but I couldn't tell what color the ink was, it kept changing. To me it seems more like being high than drunk. Now, GO TO BED!!!
I have chronic severe insomnia and yes it always feels like I'm intoxicated, it's why I can't drive anywhere I will most definitely cause an accident yet people keep saying being tired won't cause an accident, their ignorance scares me. Sleep deprivation completely messes with every part of your brain.
The longest I went without sleep was 5 and a half days and I was forced to work the entire time and ended up getting fired because "I wasn't doing my job properly" even though I told them I hadn't slept a single minute in over 5 days and they didn't believe me. I was hallucinating the whole time and I thought I was going to die.
A little bit, and like alcohol you build a "tolerance" to it. Stay up too much longer and the back muscle pains will begin.
Over-exhaustion is as bad or worse than being drunk when they test people's cognition and reactions.
So, yes it valid to feel like you are drunk.
