I REALLY miss the 90's. everything about it. It just seems in these modern days everything is just so fast, greedy, full of adverts, owned by larger businesses. i missed the times when i was growing up in the 90s, everything was so much better. (especially the music :P) IS THIS NORMAL?
Most people miss the age they grew up in, because usually as a child you get to enjoy the best of life for free. Most kids have barely any responsibility, spend their afternoons after school or on weekends playing with other kids, messing around, having fun. You get cooked food, you watch TV, play video games, you enjoy catchy pop tunes, you're expected to act silly, spill things and make mistakes.
So looking back, anything associated with that mostly happy time is rose-tinted and slightly more special than what's around now. You tend to look passed all the crap because you weren't really aware of it then :)
Very normal, I'm sick of these times as well. I miss the 40-60's when things were so simple. Obviously the world will always have its problems, but things are WAY out of hand nowadays. The technology is what REALLY irks me. 20 years ago an 'ipod' was completley futuristicand unheard of. It's like the government was hoarding all this high-tech stuff and then boom, just lets it all out one day. It all moved too fast...but we have to acceot it and move on. Just because it exists, doesn't mean we need to be a part of it. When nazis were all over Poland, it didn't mean all of Poland were nazis. You can live however you like, just try to ignore the petty problems people have nowadays because 'their phones broekn' and just enjoy the simple things.
I'm old too. I miss the late 60's early 70's. I still have my hippy looking sweater. Can't get rid of it. "Hair, hair, long beautiful hair!"
Im old, I miss the 70s like you miss the 90s. Guess everybody misses some time in hte past.
Grunge was awesome when it came along, and rid us of all that lame as hair band bullshit.
I was in my mates grandas house the other day and it looked like it hadnt been touched since about 1998. There was a cd player and 2 landline phones and a video collection and an old computer that would have looked cool as fuck years ago. Even the decor and the furniture was from the 90s. It sorta freaked me out a bit tho, it was like going back in time.
Yes and no. We had a great economy, but we were setting up the present mess we're in today.
I was a teenager in the 90s and it was O.K, honestly I think I would have enjoyed being a teenager in the 80s better. Being a child in the 80s was quite superb though, I think the best children's toys EVER were around in the 80s. I am certainly glad I am not a teenager now, pop culture is at an all time low and most socialization seems to happen online, which is unnatural and fosters insecurity.
Yes, it's normal to feel nostalgic for when you grew up. If it makes you feel better, every 20 years a decade become retro again. In the 2000s the '80s were cool again, right? Well, it's the 2010s now, so the '90s will probably become retro soon.
I miss the 90's so very much. I'm glad to say that I grew up in the 90's.

born in 1993 so i was der for 7 years. The only thing i wish i was old enough to pay attention would be basketball. I wish i witness michal jordan. They say never be one like him. And also the yankees win.. Thats it . 2010s r cool for me. I luv it is so nice and great. Life is good
