Is it normal (acceptable) to spit off of a bridge into a river?

I often have phlegm in my throat and feel the need to spit it out. I think the best place would be to spit off a bridge into the river so it's not going on the road and grossing anyone else or anything. I wonder if people think that it's okay if it's off of a bridge!

    Ha, I don't know why, but I now have the mental image of you being followed by a cloud, constantly raining on you, as Earth's revenge for you spitting in the river.:P Like the cloud's spitting back on you. Aww, what's worse is that next time it rains I'll think it's clouds' spit.:D Why do I even find that cute? Heh. I suppose it's preferable to spitting on someone's face, but then again, a lot of things are.:S

      Haha great image with the cloud thing.. It's cloud spitting pretty badly where I am at the mo! I was more thinking do members of the public think I'm being polite by spitting into the river rather than the street? Or do they still think it's rude n' gross?

    its fun watching spit fall in water especially from a high place. as long as you wont make pple say "yuuuuuuuck gross eeeeeeeewwww!"then its fine but again its bad manners!
