I don't know where this is from, but as a child, I thought God had a big book with my name in it and he was writing down my sins in it so he could send me to Hell. The thought I might go to Heaven never actually occurred to me.
I detest parents and religious fruitcakes who put this disgusting shit into kids heads.
If hell actually existed and I had the power to do so, I'd sentence them to a spell there as punishment for their emotional child abuse.
I went through the same thing at Catholic school, Venial sinners burned temporarily in Purgatory until their souls were cleaned, but mortal sinners burned in hell for eternity. There were huge murals in the church depicting it. Enough to scare the daylights out of you.
Normal if you were raised religiously. I was raised in a fundagelical home, and spent many nights crying myself to sleep over the thought that I was going to hell, and having to stay up late to find ways to distract myself from that.
Normal. You are supposed to be scared thats the whole point of the religion. To fear god.
Could be real, could be bullshit.
Either way me and “it” out there have an understanding.
My parents used to fearmonger me with hell and that's what made me repel from religion.
