Is it normal at the age of 30 to shart instead of fart?
So I just turned 30, 6 days ago and I've noticed a problem, when I fart, I shart slightly. Now it scares me to fart. Is this normal?

At 40(or am i?) I've encountered this very same issue. In fact I'm sure folks think I penned this. I have noticed well intentioned attempted farts do become liquid sharts:/
not age related, or not normal for that age.
if I were you, I wouldn't take any chances!
Robbie or no? Fibre usually makes a person go but if you drink enough water you should be able to efficiently clean yourself without risks. Do you eat lots of oily foods? I could suggest cheese but I'm sure that you don't want to be constipated. Have you been feeling sick? It could be a stomach virus or food poisoning. Or, it could be the beginning of IBS. Perhaps, it would be best for you to ask a doctor?
Maybe baked potatoes? Also there's always the BRATY diet: bananas, rice, applesauce, toast and yogurt.
The BRATY diet is for cleaning out bowels? i say this because yogurt (skyr) and bananas used to clean me out! I can't see how a banana couldn't cause the magical relief of going to the toilet.
Baked potatoes, sure. Especially, if they are white. Its odd because a Russet has quite a bit of fiber (most of it probably being in the skins) and it never makes me go. Then again, I don't eat the skins. Turnips are sometimes used as a potato alternative due to their starchiness. I just checked: one medium sized turnip has 2.2 grams of fibre. A large has 3.3 grams.

Of course, different things work for different people. There have been some interesting things that have made myself completely lose thyself on the loo.
