Is it normal bf (54) is asking me (23 non binary/bio male) for

My boyfriend is asking me to buy his family's Christmas presents this year. His mothers and his brother and sisters because he says he doesn't have the money but he works and earns more than me. I asked what happened to his money he said he needed it for food and gas but I make less and I still have money I saved for my parents and siblings and friends gifts. I also spent $200 on his Christmas presents that are sitting under the tree for a week now so how did he not save up? Is it normal? He says he'll pay me back and said it was strange I questioned why he didn't have the money and that most people would just give it. He's asking me to spend around $200 total

Is it normal?

Dump him! He's probably got some addiction, or bad habit that is sucking up all of his money. He's also old enough to be your dad, and that's gross, especially when he's trying to swindle you out of money. Don't give him a dime!

Most people would certainly not “just give it” this is bizarre, how does a man that age with a decent job not have savings?

He is either incredibly financially irresponsible or just being cheap and entitled, either way I agree with litelander’s response to tell him that the only way you can afford this is to return his gifts.

Nah don’t do it. He shouldn’t be asking you for that

Buy him a key to his own place and dump the cheap asshole.

Sounds fishy. I’d tell him you’re out of money but would happily return his gifts so his family can have something.
