Is it normal computer issues? what should i do about it?

My computer has been broken for awhile. I do not have enough to get a new one. My computer smells like it is smoking most of the time and it smells awful. It keeps shutting down and going black for no reason. I have a blue line running up the corner of the screen. What should I do? I don't have enough to fix it or get a new one. It was actually a gift but it broke the day after I got it. I got no resete or warranty when I first got this gift. I have minimal computer knowledge and the few things I know are software not hardware. The internal parts of my computer are very broken. How should I handle this? I am really beginning to think my computer is going to blow up in my lap. I will have enough to get a new computer but it would take a few weeks maybe a few months. I know this is probobly not going to make it through moderation but I am not sure what to do about this issue.

You may have something stuck within your fan. If you've got a laptop, they're a bit more complicated to disassemble, but there are tutorials out there.

Depends how old of model it is, don't you have some friends that know about computers you can ask? If not seek some out, many times hobbiest have spare parts for old ones they will give you and assist you with repairs

Face it, it's broken. You could try to send it to a professional but they would most likely charge a high price.

Toss it out. There's no way to fix it without cash, so you may as well save up for a new one.
