Is it normal everyone thinks i'm a teenager?

I can't pick up girls at my local community college, but middle school girls apparently think I'm the shit (even after I tell them I'm 21 and that I don't want to be on any registry). I get carded everywhere I go, I had to CONVINCE a woman working at a theater that I'm old enough to see an R-rated movie, the cops hassled me because they thought I was skipping school, and an old man told me the other day that I would "probably be taking interest in girls really soon". I shave sometimes, but even then, I don't think I look like a 12 year old, and even when I do have a beard, people tell me how odd it is that someone so young can grow a beard. I've even tried dressing in certain ways to make myself look older, but people just talk about how nice it is to see a well-dressed young person for once. How long must one wait to be treated like an adult?

  • I have the same issue. I am 27 people think I am 18/19. When I was your age I dealt with the same issues. Yes it is an annoyance now but you will appreciate it when your older. You'll be 40 looking 25-30 and all the pretty ladies will want you.

Take heart, you'll look young for your age when you're old.

Every time that I look in the mirror, all these lines in my face getting clearer...the past is gone. It went by like dusk to dawn. Isn't that the way, everybody's got their dues in life to pay.

We guys born in the late eighties and early nineties seem to look really young for our age for some reason.

It's normal. I can relate to not getting in the movie theater and getting stopped by cops. I also have a hard time buying scratch off tickets at some places and I get I'D when I want to buy alcohol for my younger brother. The only thing one can do is wait for time/aging to take it's course. Though I don't want to age. lol I remember my dad was young looking for YEARS. It worried the hell out of my jealous mother and people mistook him as a brother or boyfriend. He started to age once he reached his mid forties. Hopefully I get the same luck.
