Is it normal fake rape charges keep haunting our family

twenty years ago,My brother was accused of raping a fifteen year old who later recanted and admitted she made the whole thing up for attention.Her dad was the chief of police so the cops kept bugging my brother even though he had an alibi( he was at work 400 miles away when it happened) and seven of the other people working signed a statement that he never left.he had to run away and start over in another country.we do hear from him but this is ridiculous.her dad still bugs us and has us threatened all the time.Four of the witnesses who signed the alibi have died mysteriously.All this needless pressure is a really damper on my parents health.

    It's disgusting beyond belief that something as simple as an accusation can literally ruin someone's life.

    I thought this account was alarming enough until I got to the part regarding what's since happened to the witnesses that defended your brother. That's terrifying. Could it possibly have been a coincidence? I'm genuinely very curious; please supply more info.

    Obviously your greatest allies in this ordeal could very well be the deceased's relatives, as well as any surviving witnesses.

    Just remember that no matter how fierce an adversary may be, there's no game in which two can't play.

    Perhaps, you and the rest of your family, should (need) to consider moving to another country. Mysterious deaths to four of the witnesses, doesn't sound coincidental - I hope they're but, you need to take precautions. This is scary!

    Wow, I'm sorry for your troubles! I agree that it is dispicable that this child has put your family through so much. Her father should have looked more into her mental state and not so much into your brother...

    Firstly accusation of rape is a permanent stain on your reputation even if the person says they were lying or you are proven innocent. Secondly the police continuing to harass you 20 years later is pretty illegal I am sure. However since the cops are the people you ask for help when someone is breaking the rules, I not really sure who you call when a cop is being a dick. Maybe call the head of the department or a different department? If they are just now starting the case up again since some of the witnesses died though that makes sense.
