Is it normal for 90 lbs to be my ideal weight, at 5'8" and age 15?

My best friend was 85 lbs a few years ago, when we were both 5'4". I currently weigh 153 lbs, which is obese, though I do lift. BMI says otherwise, but BMI is a load of bullshit so I don't believe it: Some people are just naturally bigger at the same weight. My ideal weight has always been 90 lbs, and I need to get to that weight. Speaking of which, you can comment with any weight loss tips if you have any.

    You aren't obese. You aren't even overweight (5.8 is 176cm?)
    Working out is healthy, go you. Otherwise, your post screams low self-esteem.

    Love I had the same feelings as you at 15. I too wanted to lose weight because I felt that I was overweight. I started restricting my calories and I immediately dropped pounds. But it’s so bad for you it was a terrible experience. Since you are at a healthy weight right now you do not need to lose weight. If you were to drop down to only 90 pounds you would be considered underweight for your height and that is dangerous. Please just eat healthy and exercise that’s all you need to do. I don’t want you to develop an eating disorder. You’re beautiful.

    Are you male or female? If you’re male and quiet muscular you are probably about the right weight. If you are female I would say you are a little overweight but not excessively. For a female your height and age you should probably be around 9 to 10 stone.
