OMG, owning spiders as pets could possibly keep a person single. I'm telling you that spiders and snakes are the most scariest things in the world to me. I couldn't even imagine being with somebody who loves spiders. Are you sure he's not a Adams, as in the Adams family?

I think your a creepy 40+ man taking care of arachnids in your basement which you probably call your D&D "Lair".

Kidding. Well, the pets are your preference, the living situation...well it's cool if their cool. I'm seeing no reason why you can't hint why your still living with your parents. Heck just say your like StepBrothers it's all good.

Our arachnid friends eat flies, bed bugs and mosquitos and other nasty no good insects. Spiders are NOT ugly. They are better looking than most hominids.

This one is tough. Yes it's normal for a 40 year old man to own spiders as pets. The part about you still living with your parents is not as normal. But hey, if you get along that well with your parents and they don't mind I see nothing wrong with it.

Well there is really no reason for me to post, thepickler just pretty much summed up exactly my thoughts... Do you bring girls back to your parents house though?

Thanks everyone, for your replies! I'd reply back to more of these however I can't answer some of the questions you're asking--mainly, why still home with the folks. This question isn't about myself but a person I know. I always thought it was strange, and wondered what others would think. Thanks for your help, and sorry I can't answer more questions! I'm just as perplexed as you are!
