Is it normal for a 22 year old girl to collect monster high dolls?

I just started my collection but I'm too much of a pu$$y to let anyone I know know that I collect them, because im scarred of them calling me crazy and i cba to defend my hobby.

I just can't see what's wrong with liking dolls as an adult. societies rules piss me off sometimes.

Well it doesn't really matter what age you are, does not matter if it's normal or not... If you play with them and play dress up, it's un-normal but just collecting soon to be rare dolls it's fine. (Collecting starwars figures,)

      "...and play dress up..."

      One word: cosplay.

I don't see any problem with it. I'm 41 and collect teddy bears and movie themed toys. My latest buy is a Hunger Games action figure off ebay.

i don't see a problem with that. lots of adults collect toys and games. i have a 3000+ collection of hotwheels I've been collecting since i was a kid and a collection of old videogames. besides, i know guys with my little pony toys.

There's nothing wrong with collecting dolls- playing with them isn't normal at your age, but collecting them is completely normal.

How do you define playing? Isnt little girls playing that they care for and roleplay with their dolls, thats the main objective, right? We do the same when we fix our collections, we organize and display them, make sure their hair is ok and so on, for no good reason other than its kind of playing. (Roleplay and such is probably rare for adults with dolls, at least i never did it)
I had model trains in adulthood, of course it was a hobby to me but isnt a hobby just an adult way of playing? Building railroads and landscapes is sort of playing, if not we would go out and work as real rambling men.
So, its normal play with dolls, to some extent. Bottlefeeding them would fall outside of normal.

Speaking of dolls, I saw RealDoll porn for the first time the other day. That's way more creepy than a 22 year old girl collecting Monster High dolls haha

True. I find my monster high dolls attractive and sexy but a realdoll is definitely not for me, its just a giant masturbator, though i think realdoll fans dont see them that way. I can afford one but No Thanks.

If they all stay in their boxes they might be worth money someday. People go nuts for the toys of their childhood.

I'm 23 and I went through a brief phase where I liked Monster High. I watched all the episodes that were available at the time and even bought a Ghoulia doll from eBay. For some reason my interest in it died off shortly after that.

And prior to the Monster High thing I spent about a year being a Pegasister.

I must be going through some kind of quarter life crisis...

I'll admit that I actually have watched a few episodes of that show before, and it's not bad. The character design is amazing and I like the idea of an all monster high school. Plus they all look very attractive.

Anyways, back to you, I'm sure that this isn't normal, but it's not a problem. Plenty of people collect merchandise from shows they love and it's not a problem so long as you don't end up on that show "Hoarders." Just keep doing what you're doing, I'm sure that you'll find people who understand, or don't really care about, your collection.
