This girl started talking to me (I'm a girl too) and she seems so rad and into a lot of the same stuff as I am. She seems mature and not at all 14, but even though it's not illegal I wanted to know if it normal or looked down upon.
Do any of you guys have super young/old friends?
Friendship doesn't have an age limit, I have friends who are younger or older than me and age doesn't matter we like the same things and get along great. Totally normal thing
Human beings of all ages can form friendships. It shouldn't even be an issue worth questioning, but society's sex obsession has made people paranoid.
I have friends of varying ages. Some young (but legal-aged) women from sports bar I go to, one woman who's in her 60s, widowed, but still an amazingly attractive blonde (and in killer-fit shape), and some my own age or close. Depends on who you consider a friend and want to relate to.
It's totally normal. Just make sure if you guys hang out that you're not introducing her to "grown up" activities. Keep it clean.
My sister is 2 years older than me, and she introduced me to some of her older friends when I was starting high school. We wound up really hitting it off. It was probably not very common for a 14-year-old to be hanging out with people who were 18, but these older friends were a breath of fresh air. I was a bit overwhelmed by starting high school, and these friends who had recently graduated high school gave me perspective on life. I'm 31 now and still have friends who are a good deal younger or older than I am.
I think it's cool for the two of you to be friends, as long as you're a good influence on her and don't introduce her to things that aren't appropriate for someone who's 14.
Most of my friends are in kindergarten. We hang out behind the bushes during recess.
