Is it normal for a 13 year old to call a 30 year old "old man"?

This 13 year old was swearing up a storm while we were sat outside a cafe eating. He was stood right near the fence. He wouldn't stop swearing so my boyfriend said, "please watch your language, thanks"

and then the 13 year old replied, "whatcha gonna do old man?" and my boyfriend just shook his head so the kid then said, "go ahead old man, tell me what to do"

My boyfriend doesn't even look old, he has a full head of hair, brown, no wrinkles in sight, etc... so is this normal for a kid to say this? Is 30 an old man to a 13 year old or something?

    Your perception of "old" changes with age. When I was 12 and my friend told me that the main character of Rurouni Kenshin was 28, I thought "Dang, he's old!" Now that I'm in my 20s, I consider 60 to be old. My parents are pushing 60 and they don't think of themselves as "old" at all.

    That kid sounds a lot like me wen I was that age.I'd talk mad shit knowing they didn't do shit back.I got my fair share of ass whooping for fronin on the wrong person

    This is normal for a 13 year old brat (not for a typical 13 year old, mind you). He's pretty young, so you seem old to him. I consider a 30 year old as someone who is actually, legitimately an adult. I mean, let's be honest, 20-somethings are not real adults (maturity wise). That doesn't mean you are actually old (don't go into almost-mid-life crisis mode). That's the best insult the moron could come up with. Don't worry about it.

    when you were 13 I am certain anyone from 18 and older was old to you so that is how this cheeky 13 year old saw this 30 year old. She, needs to be taught a lesson in manner and respect for her elders as I and maybe you were. Respect for your elders but no one told the elders to respect me: Therefore many felt it okay to do as they pleased with me: some did naughty stuff to me because of my tender years: from taking down my mants and spankingf me and others did alot not so nice things to me Just help that 13 year old to have respect and be safe..

      I had crushes on people who were 30 when I was 15 lol. I never thought of them as old; just hotties who were out of reach.
