Is it normal for a 21 year old to look 17?

i graduated high school 3 years ago. all of my friends had the teenage to adult transformation already. yet i still look like im in the middle of high school? a kid who was 1 year older than me who looked just like me in high school moved across the country, got a bartender job and looks like hes 30. living the high class life already. here i am living at my parents, havent even thought about moving out yet, still looking like a teenager, and it just puts me down.

I haven't looked 17 since I was 13. In high school I went to a K-12 school. A teacher in the elementary school asked me if I was a parent of one of her students. I was 16.

Now, you and I are the same age and I get asked why I'm not a mother, married, or engaged as if I'm running out of time to complete those major life events.

My advice to you is to enjoy both your youth, and your youthful appearance.

The only upside to looking older that I've noticed is that I'm afforded more respect than many of my peers.

I can't tell the difference in 17 and 21 as that's hardly a gap, so yes, very normal

Yeah it's normal. People age at different rates. Just think of yourself as lucky!

Its normal just dont take it for granted chugging large amount of beer or fat foods without any form of counter balance or theres a chance you will age badly later on.

Same here! I'm a 18 year old girl and I've looked younger than my age for my whole life. It sucks now, but people always tell me that I'll be thankful for it when I get older.

    There's a sweet trade-off, so don't worry about it.

I'm a guy, I looked like I was only 14 when I was 21 (when clean shaven). But now that I'm 40 and still look like I'm in my early 20's, I don't mind one bit.

Who are you?, and what do you want to do everyday for the rest of your life?. Thats the big question and only you know the answer to it.

This is very normal. Back when I had my hair purple, many people would mistake me for a 16 year old and I was 25. Heck, some people still do it now. Be happy that you look younger for your age because it won't last.
    :)
