When I was a boy (long ago!), girdle ads were still regularly on TV. At around the age of 12, I eventually tried on my mother's panty girdle. This became a habit. At the age of around 14/15 I even worked up the courage one day to wear an all-in-one girdle to school. This didn't become a habit, as I spent the day in sheer terror at the thought of being caught! I've never been able to kick this recurring urge.

I used to fantasise that I was being forced to wear it - it was easier that way than to face up to the fact I was doing it because I enjoyed it.

    When I was younger, I was dating a girl that was actually really very good with the part of me being a cross dresser.         That one was the Playtex 18-hour. That's the first girdle I bought myself when I went to University! All I could think of was that ad as I walked slightly stiffly out of the shop - as if anyone could forget they had it on!

            It was a strange rubbery material. I can recall as if it were yesterday being in that changing room trying to struggle into it, red faced with embarrassment at the sound of the assistants giggling outside and knowing that, after I'd finally got it on and got dressed again, I was going to have to go out there, make eye contact with them, go to the till to pay, then walk outside with all eyes on me, accompanied by the sound of stifled laughter.       Apologies for that. It's been deleted. I used to (and still do) feel guilty about wearing women's clothes. One of the ways I'd try to handle the shame was to pretend I was being forced into it by someone. I made that stupid first post along those lines then deleted it, figuring that if I was going to confess for the first time ever to wearing a girdle, I should tell the honest truth. Nobody forced me to wear it to school - on the rare occasion I did, it was entirely my own decision.

          I've never really understood it. I was fascinated by these old tv ads when I was a boy. I can still remember that first time, creeping into my parent's bedroom, looking through the drawers, finding this panty girdle, taking my jeans off, stepping into it, then, after several minutes with my mouth dry and my heart racing trying to work up the courage, pulling it on while staring open mouthed at my reflection in the mirror.
