I'm of the christian faith but I enjoy collecting statues of the greek gods and goddesses. Is this normal?
Why wouldn't that be normal?

I used to be Christian and then I converted mainly to Buddhism.
I believe in myths/deities.
My family tells me that they are just stories and that I need to get real.
It hurts my feelings that they disregard my religion and refuse to let me have statues of Deities. Even though, they don't really have any "Christian" statues...
I think it's good to be open to other cultures. History is interesting. So, is religion. Don't let anyone tell you that it's not normal. Just keep doing the things you like:)
Don't sweat it! I'm Christian and I ADORE Greek Mythology. I also am obsessed with Japan; I'm really interested in the Shinto religion, shrines and their traditions and stuff. Also, I LOVE quotes--a lot of my favorite quotes are from Buddha. Plus, I'm a bit orientationally confused. Meh, I guess I'm just openminded XD
nOPE not Normal! A Baptist that lives beside me has a Buddha statue in her garden and it's just creepy. The Bible says "Have no other gods before me." and it also says do not even look on the image of anything that is against God. Here's one thats scary. One verse says God is a jealous God. He might get jealous of that watchamadigee you got there. God destroyed towns that worshiped idols and eventually destroyed Greece. So yeah I think you should ask that question to God. A Christian saying...
And btw you gave yourself away.you admitted you have a love for it.your a Mythphile.go find you a preacher and ask him if its ok as a christian to love Greek Mythology.go ahead?also shows how irrational you are because the word Myth means fake make up lies.and this is what you choose to love?try again you failed.
