Is it normal for a female to have hairy legs sometimes?

I wax my legs instead of shaving because shaving seems to make the hairs thicker and more numerous. Shaving also gets rid of any tan which makes my legs look ghostly white which I think looks awful. Waxing also lasts for a few weeks. The problem is that the hair needs to be several millimeters long to be waxed so for about one week per month, I have legs that are a bit hairy. In the current climate where I live, surely this must be noticeable. Not everyone has terrible eyesight like I do.

Yes. I like "au naturale" 25
Yes. A few sparse light hairs are OK. 34
No. If I can see any hairs at all, it's a turn off 13
No. Shiny, smooth, lightly tanned, fit legs look the best. 19
I don't care either way 22

    • If it was normal, you'd see female hairy legs everywhere, you twat. Women depilate the hair that grows on their legs.

They don't remove it because its not normal, they remove it because of culture. It's biologically completely normal.

        • If this site was called www.isitbiologicallynormal.com, you might have a point. It's also biologically normal for men to have sex with every person they're attracted to, by force, and to kill any person who threatens them, or who threaten their mate and offspring. All sophisticated cultures have grooming rituals. In fact, so do many animals. I almost to add "you twat", in keeping with the way you like to talk to people.

And if the site was called something like "doiapproveofthis" then YOU might have a point. Just because you don't like leg hair doesn't mean it's not normal, you twat. Oh, sorry. I call em like I see em.

I'm a girl and I shave my legs like once a month unless its summer. I HATE shaving my legs. I usually Nair but that smells terrible.

  • Easy, ladies. For me its not a dealbreaker if you're otherwise attractive, and if its not anywhere near comparable to mine. I think I speak for most men when I say that if your hair is thicker and/or more prevalent than mine, or even ALMOST as thick or as prevalent as mine, I will be turned off. But if its minimal no worries

its normal because most ladies in middle east use sugar paste to remove hair from legs and they usually do it once a month until the hair grows ,so dont worry its normal ,and i respect the lady who waxes or sugaring her legs because it means that she wants her legs to be like silk, to be honest also watching a lady waxing or sugaring her legs is sexy :]]]

I'm terrible at shaving my legs, so I just wear jeans :)

  • few odd hairs on the legs are fine, underarms you can get away with if they're pretty much covered up, bikini line is only a problem if you go swimming. I have to go swimming regularly - one of the only times I wish I was a bloke then I wouldn't have to change my swim day because of how hair I am

My wife has never had leg hair, never needs to shave, but she's the only woman I've ever met who doesn't need to. I think it's a racial thing, some races being hairier than others.

I shave every 3 days when they start to grow back. I do this because I like putting moisturiser on without it being caught in the hairs..ew.

I don't think too much about shaving these days. When it gets long enough to look grizzly, I trim. I only shave when I plan to go swimming or to the gym.
