Is it normal for a girl to play magic the gathering?

I like this game a lot and since I learned from my ex-bf I have been a good player. My new bf says girls shouldn't be playing Magic or interested in it because it is for nerdy boys. I think thats sexist and I like playing plus I have some very valuable cards like some Tundras (4). What should I do/say? My bf also doesnt like the way the other players stare at me he says they are leering.

    Tell your boyfriend to back off. He sounds really jealous and controlling. It's not his business to regulate your hobbies or decide who you're allowed to hang out with, and you shouldn't let him do it. If he wants to break up with you if you don't stop playing, good riddance.

    I think MTG is great and not enough girls play. I'm tired of sitting across from some fat guy in his 30's who has yet to discover the invention of deodorant. So,yes, continue to play.

    It's normal. I used to be obsessed with yu-gi-oh and I have a huge binder filled with all of my card collections. Tell your boyfriend to back off and keep on playing.

    When my daughter 1st met her husband he was thrilled to find out she played Magic . They don't play magic any more but they play world of warcraft together . Not as many gamer girls out there as there are gamer boys so your boyfriend is probably worried about someone trying to steal you away .
