I never really thought about it much, but now that I think about it, I'm pretty short. Is it normal for a guy around 20 to this short? Will this make me unattractive to people?
i think the perfect height for a guy is 5'7 too 5'9 ... im not saying this coz its what you wanna hear , its just the truth ... i love this height for guys , they look sleek and made properly! ... taller than that starts to look worse and worse .... 6 foot is gross .... i think lots of women say they want a tall bf but in reality they lust after genetically well made guys , like tom cruze 5'7 or david beckham types etc ... very few tall guys seem to get my friends intrest either ... they might say they want a guy whos 6feet but they go CRAZY in love with a guy 5'8 again and again :)
anyway i bet you get way more love from girls than if you were taller .... the only exception is if your with a very tall girl .... adverage height for a girl globally is 5'2 and for a man its 5'5 ... so you are above adverage and tons of girls to pick from .... but if your in the USA your only adverage height to slightly below adverage .... there are big problems with height in the USA due to growth hormones in beef , pork , and poultry .... they had a summet meeting on this very things in 2006 and explained that adverage americans will die aproximatly 7 too 13 years sooner than most any other non growth hormone pushing nation and the cost to our helth care will be ridiculess in the soon future.
anyway 5'7 is hot for a guy , dont think otherwise coz you'll be wrong :)
Thanks for such a beautiful comment on us fellows that stands between 5'7 and 5'9 I'm actually5'7 and a half and the open media and comedians like Steve Harvey try they best to make us feel like were not attractive at all the world wants you to be six feet or you nothing but im good looking and Don't feel short at all I think that guys in this height area should have our own modeling companies and point out our awesomeness humbly speaking
My bf is 5'7" and I find it cute. I'm only an inch shorter so it makes for amazing hugs, easy kisses, and perfect cuddling.
i dont give a shit about height, and im a girl. all i care about is how hot he is.. to me, a hot guy is someone with a decent face, nice hair, and umm style

I am 6'4" and I find it hard to sit in cars and duck ceiling fixtures and people tell me everyday "hey your pretty fuckin tall, huh" its like shut the fuck up. haha

but i did something about it. I joined gym and got slim big, but not huge.
So I have no problem with me being short.
and there are lots of female who are short too O_o
I believe average height in the USA for males is 5'9"; so if you are in USA then you may be just a little short but not shockingly so. There is a chart of average height per country on wikipedia, check it out.
As for attractiveness; your height is really not that abnormal and beauty is subjective within range. Therefore, I would not worry too much about this.
I say it's in the normal range, though it depends where you are. In many parts of the world this is about average. Don't sweat about it too much.
Being a douche makes you unattractive to people, generally. I doubt there's anyone out there THAT shallow, and if there is, you're better off without them.
In Canada the average male is 5'5" to 5'7". I do not see many males over 5'7 here.I would say the best height for a male to be is anywhere from 5'5" to 5'8" max. Anything over that looks aweful on a male. Tall males look awkward and trange. The taller the guy the lanky he looks.Lanky is unattractive looking on a male. So 5'5 to 5'8 is perfect for a male and women prefer men no taller than 5'8.Women do not care for 5'9 and up guys because they look awkward.

I'm a pretty confident guy so people seem to overlook the fact that I'm this short. However, at first glance, people sometimes go like "Oh, my God, you're so short!" on my short ass.
According to the chart on Wikipedia average height in most European countries and the US is 5ft 10 for males but 5ft 5 and upwards in a lot of other countries. Like everyone else said, sure you're a bit smaller than average in a lot of places but everyone is different and if you're that bothered move to China :P average is 5ft 7 over there :) perfect
I'd never look twice at a guy that short. If you're that short you better be 15
