Is it normal for a human to use dog toothpaste?

A few weeks ago my wife used up the last of the normal toothpaste so there was none there when I went to brush my teeth. I used our dog's chicken toothpaste instead. I haven't used the normal stuff since then even though we bought more, I actually think the dog toothpaste tastes less disgusting (I hate mint). I know dogs shouldn't use human toothpaste but from what I've read that's mainly just because they swallow it and humans generally don't so there shouldn't be a problem with me using dog toothpaste.

If my boyfriend came to bed after using chicken toothpaste and tried to kiss me or something, I think I would vom.

Aside from the fact that it's disgusting, it probably doesn't have the same properties as human toothpaste, like anticavity, antiplaque, etc.

There are human toothpastes that aren't mint, so for god's sake go buy one of those.

    • The non-minty human toothpastes I've seen were all fruity girl flavours like strawberry and bubblegum. A man can't use toothpaste with a flavour like that, it just wouldn't be right.

Yes! Men can only have manly breath, with hints of things like BEEF! And CHICKEN! THE GROUND BONES OF THEIR SWORN ENEMIES! And other meaty animals.

Haha only messing. Maybe it isn't such a bad idea to look into the orange toothpaste. Sounds yummy. What's wrong with strawberry?!

It's not bad for you but it's not good either... dog toothpaste doesn't contain fluoride which is what prevents decay and kills bacteria. Dog's dont really have to worry about that (i mean most dogs dont get their teeth brush and are fine) I dont know whats in theirs... ingredients to clean and prevent gum disease obv, but probably not very affective on humans.

I don't know if it's bad for you, but I wouldn't anyway, just in case. Just as human toothpaste isn't good for dogs, dog toothpaste may not be good for humans.

Plus, I wouldn't want my breath to smell chickeny, but that's just me.
