Is it normal for a man to get mushy over cute things?

Like seriously, sometimes if I see a really cute puppy, I just feel like "AWWWWWWWWE :')"
But I'm 21, I've got a beard and everything.
And I'm straight, and quite mature.
But really cute things make me feel really happy, even cute girls my age.
And seeing cute couples.
Don't get me wrong, I don't live in fairy world in my head lol.
But some things just make me so happy with how funny or endearing they are!

I love it when big burly men get all weak over something so precious. It shows they have heart and I would never assume they were gay or less of a man because of it.

I gush when I see dogs of any kind and I can't keep my hands off puppies or kittens. Playing with them is kind of a perfect state of bliss for me. I'm neither immature or homosexual. I just love animals.

I know a few men who are like you and I never thought of them as being gay or immature. It's sweet and cute and it can be attractive.

    Oh look, puppies!

Thank you ladies and gents, you have made me feel like a normal person :)
I think other guys in the UK try to act too tough, getting drunk all the time.
I am happy with the cute, beautiful subtleties of life :')

My husband's fortyish, has a beard and works with knives and fire for a living, and he still goes all silly for our cats. It's not only normal, I think it actually makes a man *more* manly because of the contrast between rugged, tough-guy good looks and melting at the sight of an adorable kitten. :)

*Older father with a chocolate brown beard looks at a window display and sees something*

    *Tears brimming in eyes*

"OMG! That's so kawaii!", he exclaims.

*It was a life sized doll with large anime eyes. This is what made him so happy...*

The overused phrase "that's so kawaii!" is a smidgeon gay no matter which gender blurts it from their noise-holes. :P

Did I not write my question clearly enough? I did rush it, in a way... I don't spend too much time doing anything on the internet...

"Kawaii desu ne" is Japanese for "that's so cute".

    You're the coolest guy ever.

..^That compliment was genuine. In case you were questioning due to the lack of emotion in the comment.

Aww :') thank you! So are you! (or the coolest girl if you're a girl)

And I know what you mean, it's hard to show sincerity in writing over the internet.
I rely so much on facial expressions to carry my meaning when I speak!

  • Yea I wouldn't want a guy who was tough all the time...I'd want a guy that can feel emotions but also keep a level head where needed

It's totally normal. It just means your gay...just kidding. It just shows your more aware of your surroundings and can feel their "energy" to a greater degree than other men....I don't really know what I just said but I hope it may help...

    O.o

Yeah I am good at feeling "aura" hehe...
Well, subtleties that give me a lot of information subconsciously, without me having to think too hard.

My 32-year-old friend took up 30 minutes of my day talking about the cutest little teddy bear he saw, and how the cutest people he encounters resemble teddy bears. It's harmless. Endearing, actually.

I burry my nose in my cat's fur to take a good whiff of his smell and he often lies on my lap for hours.
I'm totally crazy over my cat.

"I've got a beard and everything" And this makes you unable to find things cute or adorable? Seriously it is perfectly normal for a male to find things cute or adorable!
