Is it normal for a teenager to spend part of sunday at church?

Ever since i can remember, my grandpa always had one rule in his house. You stay with him, you will be in church on sunday morning. That is how i grew up. Sunday was a day of rest and a time to reflect on what god has done. I am now 18 years old, and still go to weekly services oeral on sunday morning. I dont mean those contemporary ones either. I am talking about the hymnal and organ type of church. We recieve the eucharist at the altar kneeling, and all that traditional stuff. Is it normal for a teenager to attend these old order style worship services?

There is nothing abnormal about your particular situation. That is what you were raised to believe in and adopt a habit in doing, no matter what type of service it is. Church is church at the end of the day and all attendees are there for the same reason.

Your grandpa has his beliefs and it's normal for him to pass those beliefs on to you but in the end it's your choice. If you don't feel the need to go to church then you shouldn't. Like you said, you're 18.

It isn't weird for an 18 year old to go to church. Age doesn't matter when it comes to this, your beliefs are what matter.

What made you believe it was abnormal?

Of course, if you are a religious person. Being a teenager has nothing to do with it, because we are all unique. So I read "is it normal to spend part of Sunday going to church?" and the answer is indeed yes.

Once you are an adult it's your choice. You were raised believing it was normal, so it's normal for you.
