In tons of media, tomboys are almost always depicted as either lesbian or bisexual. However, in real life, I have met some tomboys who are into guys only. Is it normal for this to happen?
It's perfectly normal for a woman to like masculine things and still be straight.
Totally normal. My ex is a tomboy and while she's said to me a few times she would have enjoyed being a man more (because it's easier), she is straight.
I've dated another tomboy before and surprise, surprise - she was just a regular girl who liked some guy stuff and found jeans and a shirt to be more comfortable and practical than skirts, dresses, heels, etc...
The media is obsessed with drama and flare, so off course they'll want to showcase more lesbian tomboy girls, or even ones that want to transition to being men.
Just because you’re straight doesn’t mean you have to dress a certain way.
Very common for tomboys to be straight.
I’d go as far as to say that they’re more often than not some of the straightest girls around.

Your style and behaviour has nothing to do with your sexuality that's just a stereotype. Being a tomboy only means you dress how you feel like instead of being typically feminine and that you have interests that guys tend to have like video games or sports which obviously women are into as well but they often get called a tomboy for that especially if they dont wear makeup and "girly" clothes.
There's also lots of lesbians who look and act very feminine rather than the butch stereotype, and gay men who are very masculine. In media they always use stereotypes of everything because its easier.
Normal, LGBT has become a trend so every little girl that likes football and won’t wear dresses is told she’s lesbian or trans when most are just tomboys
