Ok, my stepdaughter and her boyfriend perceive older people as being ignorant, and should be blamed for every bad thing; such as wars, racism, bad economy, or just about every bad thing that's ever happened. They feel like they are here and their generation is going to be the
one that is so intelligent that they will solve every problem known to the human race. Is it normal for me to feel disrespected when I have a lot of good information that would be very positive in their lives, but they reject it?

    Every adult becomes incredibly stupid when a teen reaches 12 or 13. Every teen thinks they have all the answers and only they have those answers.
    As they age, they realize that they are just as confused and fucked up as everyone else and then they have kids who grow up to think they (the parents) are stupid and they (the kids) have all the answers.
    So what's new?

    It's not normal for people to be Ageists or to believe in Agism. How old are they? They sound very immature and disillusioned. I am very concerned about the future of our planet and of our universe when it comes in regards especially, to youth of today. I find the majority of them to be silly and uncouth. While there are some that mature and sensible, their existence seems to have been drowned out by the others! Our future is going to be filled with more STDS, planet earth will be so much more overpopulated that resources will be practically zilch, society will be more silly and unreasonable and people of a certain age will be terminated. Like how in Children of Men, where on a certain day, all of the "old people" of a certain age are gathered up and drowned. Or like how in Futurerama people of a certain age get rounded up and taken away from earth to be inserted in a Matrix-esque tomb. And so on.

    How was when you were young? Did you respect your parents, and see them as wise? If yes, then how about the other young people of that time?

    Your stepdaughter and her boyfriend do seem to have views that are a bit off, if they think that wars and bad economy are due to people being ignorant, and could could easily be done away with.
