    To be completely honest... I want to say not normal, but I guess it can all depend on the manga.

    If it's something like Fushigi Yugi, I want to say not normal, but if it's something like The Wallflower, it probably is.

    I mostly say it's not normal because shoujo is the anime/manga equivalent to chick flicks: it's only intended for the female gender, and is usually awful.

    Please i read yoai, yuri,shoujo, romance etc. I don't care the genre just depends on if i like the storyline or not. This also goes for a few of my friends. I'm a guy by the way :)

      Manga is like a graphic novel I believe. I think they're mostly from Japan. You read them from back to front. A lot of anime is based on them like Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist. I've never actually read any manga but I think that's good description.

    If something is good, it's good. Regardless of the original target audience.

    It doesn't mean that because the publisher decides to target it at girls, that guys can't enjoy it too.
