Is it normal for dried saliva to have a slight smell even with good breath

I've become very insecure about my breath and its been eating at me for months now.

I read about this test you can do to check your breath:
1. lick your wrist starting from the back part of the tongue
2. dry for 10-20 seconds
3. smell your wrist

Whenever I do this, there's like a slight mild odour (it doesn't smell bad tho) and I'm worried that it means I have bad breath.
There's this website for a brand of mouthwash and it states that 'If you notice an odor, you may have a breath disorder'.
Ik that this is like a scare tactic but I keep overthinking this and its driving me crazy. :(

Is it normal for there to be a slight smell when you lick your hand even with good breath??

As CountessDouche noted, scrub your tongue when you go on about oral hygiene, that should reduce most of the bad breath. But for all I know, dried saliva on surfaces often than not smells unpleasant.

Yes lol. There's A smell to your dried saliva, but it shouldn't be a bad smell. If it was funky, you'd know.

If you're concerned about bad breath, just make sure you floss in addition to brushing (a surprising number of people don't and that makes a huge difference) and brush your tongue or use a tongue scraper (a lot of bad breath comes from the tongue and not the teeth). If you do that, you should be all good.

Saliva does have a smell. It shouldn't be odorless. You just don't want it to smell like garlic or a butthole or a garlicky butthole.

  lol do you swim? When i go to pools I feel like my skin smells like chlorine. Then when I sweat I smell the chlorine smell wafting
