Is it normal for me to feel worried about my younger brother?

Recently my brother came out as gay to me, he is only 12 and just started high school. At first I was happy for him since ive always had a feeling that he was but last night i was upset since i realized all the discrimination he will have to put up with. I want him to be happy but i also want him to be careful. Should i be worrying so much? And should i tell him to be less open for awhile to avoid being bullied?

    Well, I think that you're being a great older sibling for worrying about him. I honestly think that your brother will probably face some discrimination, kids are cruel. I would suggest that you sit down and talk with him about what your anxieties are and how you will always be there for him if he needs it.

    Tell him if any kids give him crap you'll twat their guts :D that's what my older brother did for me when I came out as bisexual :'3
